"Mirror" is a self portrait. One of the most vulnerable decisions to make for any artist.
I chose a reference photo from a session that I had done at the time with my photographer friend, Will Crooks. The right image is everything to provide a sense of safety in that creative vulnerability of the self-portrait.
A self-portrait was an important inclusion for me for the "Screen Doors" show. While I connect with each piece as an autobiography in its own way, I still needed to take that step to show my viewers that I am deeply connected in a personal way.
This piece is about self-reflection, appropriately titled "Mirror."
