"Love Your Body, Little One"

Artist Statement:

A mother holds her young daughter's hands and looks her in the eyes... She is determined to teach her from a young age to "Love Your Body..."

This piece is personal to many women. We wish we would've been told this message when we were young. We wish we could've heard these words. That would have made the world of difference to us as little girls. That would've kept us from so much pain if we really knew to feel that way when we were her age.

May this be a reminder to change the way we talk about our bodies in front of little girls. May we do better at sending them messages of love and acceptance as they grow up in our culture.
